Congratulations to the Opotiki District Council which resolved to adopt the educational Smokefree Outdoor Spaces policy in December 2007 making it one of only a few councils in New Zealand to adopt a comprehensive smokefree policy making all council-owned public places (beaches, parks, playgrounds, sports fields, reserves, etc.) and events smokefree.
