NZ Experiences

Bodies such as Local Councils (below), Sporting Stadium's and Universities in New Zealand are rapidly moving toward introducing policies to promote smokefree outdoor areas.

Councils

Many councils in New Zealand are considering, or have already moved to develop smokefree policies to discourage smoking in outdoor areas used by children.  Below is a brief summary of the Councils which have adopted these policies.  Click on the name of the council to find out more information.  Work is underway in other areas as well.
